Not All Online Art Program Are Equal

Online art programs are more available than ever. They promise creativity, confidence, and skill- building.

But not all programs are designed the same way- and the difference isn't always visible in the final artwork.

Some programs focus on producing a finished piece.

Others focus on developing the child.

There is a difference.

In my experience working with students age 7-16, real growth happens when children are guided to think- not just follow steps. When lessons build progressively. When confidence is intentional nurtured. When they understand why they are doing something not only how.

If you're evaluating an online program, look beyond the project outcome. Ask:

• Is there structure progression?

• Are children encouraged to make creative decisions?

• Is confidence being built- or assumed?

When I designed my own program, I approached it from an educator's perspective. Skill development is progressive. Workbooks deepen understanding. Certificates reflects meaningful completion. Business insights introduce practical thinking. Each component is intentional.

Because when the screen turns off, what remains is not the drawing - it's the growth behind it.
